Meissen, around 1730. A large, low and round tureen with two fish or dolphin-shaped handles, painted with iron red and purple. Similar handle to cover. Body and cover painted in kakiemon-style with a blue-yellow rock formation and a flowering twig with blossoms in iron red, purple and gold, the leaves painted with light green and blue. Crossed swords mark on the unglazed underside. Min. chips, handles rest. H. 21 cm (without cover h. 11 cm), diam. 23,5 cm. - Referring to the tureen's form see Rückert, Munich 1966, fig. 55.
