Meissen, c. 1720. Boettger porcelain. Crouching figure of a Chinese with polychrome and gold painting. His mouth opened as a fume outlet. Wearing a garment falling softly from his shoulders and matching attire. H. 9 cm. - Compare thereto an unpainted figure in The National Museum of Bavaria in Munic (Inv. Nr. 38/19) and lit.: Rückert, Meissener Porzellan, Munic 1966, p. 163, nr. 836.
