Meissen, c. 1730. Slightly curved body with ostentatious gilt bronze mounting and floral handles. On both sides gilt framed reserves on a light-turquoise ground with very fine painting of soldiers in combat after Georg Philipp Rugendas. 'AR'-mark in u'glaze blue and turner's mark 'x' for Johann Daniel Rehschuh. H. each 32 cm. - Lit.: Rückert, Meissener Porzellan, Munic 1966.
