Tibet, 18th cent. Gilt bronze of the Dharmapala Jambhala, also known as Vaisravana, seated on a Buddhist lion in lalitasana. With his left hand holding the attributive, jewel-spewing mongoose, the right hand raised to perform the shunimudra. The group on a low lotus base. H. 16 cm.
