Paris, around 1920/30. Bronze with golden patina and partly with enamel painting in red and grey, marble base (min. chips). Quadratic base with bronze application in front with an egyptian lyra musician (sign. 'D.H. Chiparus'). Garzile depiction of a on tiptoe dancing Egyptian dancer in traditional Art Deco costumes. On base sign. 'D.H. Chiparus' (incised). H. in total 73 cm, figure h. 57,5 cm, base h. 15,5 cm, 15,5 x 15,5 cm. - Romanian sculptor and ceramist of the Parisian Art Deco. In the design of its sculptures, he is one of the most important artists of the Art Deco, they usually represents the dancers 'Ballets Russes' - a symbol of the modern woman of the 1920ies.
