Japan, around 1900 (Meiji-period 1868-1912). Porcelain with red-blue painting and gold decoration. Tall vase with accentuated shoulder and domed cover. The cover knob in the shape of a guardian lion (shishi). At the wall and the shoulder a large lambrequin decoration on a rich foliage underground, repeated at the cover. Rep. H. 85 cm.
