France, around 1820/30. Probably manufactured for the russian court. Bronze, brass, partly engraved, opened worked, gilded and partly with black patina, wood blackened. Horizontal brass movement, winding on bottom of case, the small movement inside the plinth. Blue night numerals, white day numerals, below scala for half and full hour and engraved names of cities. The needle shows as time setting of St. Petersburg. Bross with cyrillic, handwritten inscription and numbers. H. without glass dome 58 cm, H. with glass dome 64 cm, plinth diameter 24,5 cm.
