Berlin, early 20th cent. Bronze with dark brown patina, figure h. 29 cm, red marble plinth h 3,5 cm, 14 x 23 cm, bronze plinth with foundary mark 'Akt.Ges.Gladenbeck.Berlin', restored. - Roman copy after an original of Agasias from Ephesus from the 3rd Century BC., which was located since 1613 in the Roman Villa Borghese. In 1807 the sculpture was given to Napoleon I and was taken to the Louvre in Paris.
