Sino-Tibetan, 19th cent. Dark and partially green patinated bronze, partly gilt. Tall figure of the White Tara, the peaceful bodhisattva of transcendental consciousness and purity. Her legs crossed and seated on a lotus base. Her left hand holding a lotus flower, the right one performing a gesture of munificence (varada mudra). The finely drawn face showing a serene expression with downcast eyes. H. 60 cm.
