Japan, Meiji-period (1868-1912). Stoneware with ivory coloured craquelé glaze and bright cobalt blue underground. Rectangular body on 4 feet with 2 side handles. At both sides of the wall fine painting with elegant groups of ladies in an open landscape. At the sides and the cover gold decoration with blossoming cherry branches. Manufactory mark. H. 14 cm.
