German, end of 18th cent. Oval rocaille shield with crown and polychrome painting. In the centre and framed by plastical flowers the coat of arms of the personal union Saxony-Poland-Lithuania. After the model of a famous Meissen-vase to honour the elector Friedrich August II. of Saxony, King of Poland (called "August the Strong"). In between 1697 until 1706 and 1709 until 1763 the Saxon electors were in personal union also the kings of the monarchy Poland-Lithuania. Partly restored. H. 23,5 cm.
