New York/USA, c. 1900. Lamp shades of opaline glass in yellow, green and blue, marked and numbered "Tiffany Studios NY 1497". Bronze foot, greenish brown patinated, base plate marked and numbered "Tiffany Studios New York 534". Lamp shade with decor of yellow daffodils with green leaves on blue ground. Design of Clara Driscoll (1861-1944). (Comp. Uecker, Art Nouveau and Art Deco Lamps and Glowers, p. 172, ). - Prov.: Estate of Hilde von Lang, managing director and publisher of the German weekly newspaper "Die Zeit", partner in life of Gerd Bucerius, founder of "Die Zeit" and patron of the arts. - Elecrified with 3 lights.
