The analysis report is available for inspection. - Makowski"s oeuvre is characterised by a minute study of the environment of the rural population which he depicts with sympathy and humour. Consistently he picks out social differences as a central issue. In the painting at hand he shows a country boy whose worn out clothes can"t affect his dignified composure. - Figure a. landscape painter from a family of artists, studied at the Moscow academy 1861-65, joined the artist"s grouß Peredwischniki in 1873, from 1882 to 1884 he lectured at the Moscow academy, since 1892 also at the St. Petersburg academy, exhibited regularly among others in Vienna a.
