Oil/canvas/cardboard, 65 x 51 cm, up. mi. inscribed Princip se Chigi, slightly dam. - Prof. Francesco Petrucci, conservator of the Palazzo Chigi in Ariccia, kindly identified the portrayed a. confirmed the creation of the painting in the Voets workshop. - Maria Virgina Borghese, niece of pope Paul V., descended from one of the most powerful Italian noble families. Together with her husband, Agostino Chigi, she acquired the Palazzo Chigi at the Piazza Colonna in Rome which is today the official residence of the Italian prime minister. The painting is probably from the gallery of beauties created by Voet for the palace of the Chigi family in Ariccia.
