West-Germany. First half of the 1970s. Metal, gold-coloured, reddish-brown smooth leather. Belt size 95, 'PANIK' belt buckle approx. 12 x 6.5 cm. A prototype from the limited pre-release edition of just 7 pieces of Udo Lindenberg’s legendary 'PANIK' belt, worn by the artist in the first half of the 1970s; metal belt buckle with 'PANIK' lettering, stamped on the back with 'TRADE MARK Udo Lindenberg PAUL MUNO WIESBADEN WEST-GERMANY'. - German musician and artist. L. is one of the most famous and successful singers of German language. L. was instrumental in establishing a German-language segment of pop and rock music beyond the hit songs that dominated in his youth. Some of his records not only broke sales records, titles like 'Andrea Doria' achieved the status of a figure of speech. Since the mid-90s, he has also been active as a visual artist. A loyal collector base particularly honors his recourse to themes from his music.
