1999. Bronze, greenish patina, bottom filled with plaster. H. 43 cm. Monogrammed WF. Standing female figure wrapped in a cloak. Counterpart to a male robed figure that Friedrich executed in a large format in 1998 in a public space in front of St. Peter's Church in Rostock. The small-scale terracotta version of the two robed figures dates from 1994 - German sculptor and medalist, studied at the HfBK in Dresden from 1968-1973 and has been working as a freelance sculptor in Rostock since 1978. Numerous solo exhibitions and participation in exhibitions, as well as many commissions for works in public spaces Mus.: Rostock, art gallery; Bremen, Gerhard Marcks House; Gotha, museum etc. Lit.:
