1973. Oil/canvas. 58,5 x 38,5 cm. Lower left signed and dated Oraá 73, on the reverse titled. Tiny pigment loss. - Provenance: By Otmar Calder, coach of the Jamaican national soccer team in the 1970s; acquired from an exhibition by the artist in Havana; thence by descent - Cuban painter, one of the island’s leading artists in abstract painting. O. studied at the Havana Academy. In 1957, he and his wife, Loló Soldevilla, founded a gallery in Havana and the avant-garde group Los Diez Pintores Concretos, pioneers of Concrete Art in Cuba. His outstanding contribution to the renewal of Cuban art has been recognized in numerous exhibitions, including those abroad.

Vita:

Cuban painter, one of the island’s leading artists in abstract painting. O. studied at the Havana Academy.
