Copenhagen. Designed in 1908, made after 1977. Sterling silver. Marks: DENMARK STERLING, manufacturer's mark Georg Jensen, model no. 43, year letter P10. H. 11.5 cm, weight approx. 290 g. Vegetable shaft on a profiled stand, ear-shaped handle with beaded base - Literature: Taylor/Laskey, page 66, Figure 3 - Danish silversmith, 1895-1901 Studies at the Royal Danish Academy of Art in Copenhagen, then worked in the studio of the Danish court jeweler Michelsen. In 1904 opening of his own studio in Copenhagen where Jensen first produced works in the Art Nouveau style. Soon after he founded the company Georg Jensen, which is famous for their designs in the functional style of the Danish industrial designs.

Vita:
Danish silversmith, 1895-1901 Studies at the Royal Danish Academy of Art in Copenhagen, then worked in the studio of the Danish court jeweler Michelsen.
