1970. Bronze, golden brown patinated. 19.5 x 20.4 cm. Artist's signet at the bottom right. One of four designs with which Gerhard Marcks took part in an artist competition in 1970 for a plaque to mark the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich. It should be presented to the participants of the games - Literature: WVZ Rudloff No. 964 b (names a total of 4 casts) - German sculptor, graphic artist a. draughtsman, since 1907 he shared a studio with R. Scheibe, he taught at the Berlin art school before being called as teacher to the Weimar Bauhaus by W. Gropius, inspired by L.
