1929. Pastell. 63 x 48 cm. Framed under glass, uninspected out of frame. Lower left monogrammed and dated ELW 29. Small mounting points at the upper edge, small inconspicuous colour loss. - German painter and graphic artist. L.-W. studied 1916-19 at the Dresden School of Applied Arts under G. Erler, and at the same time at the Academy. In 1918 she moved into C. Felixmüller's studio. In 1925 she moved to Hamburg and joined the GEDOK and the Hamburg Artists' Association. In 1931 she returned to Dresden, where she was admitted to a mental institution the following year with schizophrenia and was murdered by the National Socialists in 1940. Vita:
German painter and graphic artist. L.-W. studied 1916-19 at the Dresden School of Applied Arts under G. Erler, and at the same time at the Academy. In 1918 she moved into C. Felixmüller's studio.
