2001. Watercolor over charcoal drawing. 20x30cm. Unframed. Monogrammed and dated Bi 01 lower right. Painted on both sides, verso 'Two Cats' watercolor over charcoal drawing - German sculptor. After an apprenticeship as a sculptor and stonemason, Binding moved to the Düsseldorf Art Academy, where he studied from 1959 to 1963. Binding is considered the most important animal sculptor of the post-war period and also created numerous sculptures, fountains and monuments for public spaces for several cities in Germany and Switzerland, e.g. the large sculpture 'Playing Horses', CHIO Reitstadion Aachen, 2006, and 'Große Ziege', Salomon R.
