Small seated female figure, with her arms resting behind her - Literature: Catalogue raisonné 288 - German sculptor and draftsman, first trained as a ceramic modeler and then studied at the universities of Weimar and Dresden, 1954-58 as a master student of Gustav Seitz in Berlin, since 1980 in his own studio in Altlangsow. Stötzer is one of the great sculptors of figurative sculpture in Germany in the second half of the 20th century and received numerous awards for his life's work, including the National Prize of the GDR in 1986 and the Prize of the State of Brandenburg in 2008
