1966. Bronze, dark patinated. L. 16 cm. Monogrammed MSW and dated 66. The reclining figure is understood as the counterpart to the stele in the artist's work, to which he has devoted himself in various materials and compositions. Here he shows a female nude with bent legs and her left arm crossed behind her head. - Provenance: Private property, Berlin - Sculptor and highly important representative of the contemporary sculpture in Northern Germany, studied after his flight to Hamburg at the Art Academy under Edwin Scharff and Hans Ruwoldt and is working since 1981 in Brammer/Rendsburg.
