1902. Oil/canvas. 54,5 x 46,5 cm. Lower right signed and dated Slevogt 1902. Small colour loss, flat dent, canvas trimmed at the lower and left edges. With loose brushstrokes, Slevogt captures the figures and their distinctive details. This study offers a particularly vivd insight into the creative process behind the large-scale painting 'Würtemberger Dragoner zu Pferd' shich is in the collection of the Landesmuseum Hannover. - Expertise: We would like to thank Dr. Karoline Feulner for her kind confirmation of authenticity and valuable information.
