Meissen. Designed 1760, made around 1860. Porcelain, painted in color. H. 29 cm. Crossed swords mark (1 incised line), model number 2710. Minimally chipped, slightly professionally restored. Baluster shape with rich sculptural flower decoration, Watteau scenes and flower paintings, two floating cupids on the side, openwork hood lid with a crowning flower bouquet - German porcelain modeller and sculptor, taught by the sculptor Thomae in Dresden, whose baroque influence is especially visible in his animal figures, in 1731 appointed court sculptor by August the Strong, at the same time beginning his work for porcelain manufacture Meissen, which he directs for many years, his works are among the highlights of early European porcelain.
