Meissen. Decor design by Heinz Werner 1966, form by Ludwig Zepner 1972/73. Porcelain, enamel paints and polished gold. Crossed swords mark, form and decor numbers. Form 'Neuer Auschnitt' by Ludwig Zepner. The decoration is one of the most varied and expensive produced by the Meissen manufactory and was first presented at the Leipzig Autumn Fair in 1966. 16 pieces: coffee pot (H. 27 cm), 6 cups with saucers, 6 plates (Dm. 18.5 cm), sugar bowl, cream jug, large cake plate (Dm. 30.5 cm) - Werner is one of the most important Meissen artists in the second half of the 20th century. In 1957 he was appointed decorator of the manufactory and together with Ludwig Zepner and Peter Strang founded the artist group of the Meissen manufactory. Since 1978 he has taught at the Burg Giebichenstein/Halle College of Art and Design.

Vita:
