1928. Oil/canvas. 80 x 120 cm. Lower left signed and dated Karl Müller 1928. Small retouchings. - German landscape and figure painter, called 'Soldatenmüller' because of his many soldier paintings. M. studied at the Dresden art school adn at the Berlin academy. He soon specialized in military subjects but later also painted landscapes, views of the Hamburg harbour, nudes and portraits.
