The bronze group is a smaller bronze version of the monumental stone sculpture that was erected in public space in Tbilisi in 1985, while the city was still under Soviet rule. - Georgian sculptor, graphic artist and illustrator, studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Tbilisi from 1950 to 1955 and later switched to sculpture. He became known primarily for his monumental sculptures in public spaces in Georgia
