Royal Copenhagen. Designed 1909, made soon after. Porcelain, colored. H. 32,5 cm. Underglazed blue Juliane-Marie-Marke, ER (red). Woman wearing a red and white striped apron, black top with a breast cloth, patterned headscarf, and a tub on her back - Danish painter and porcelain artist, initially trained as a ceramist under H. Christian Petersen and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen from 1897. He was particularly well known for his porcelain figurines of people from the Netherlands and Greenland in traditional dress, including rare figurines of Inuit children.

Vita:

Danish painter and porcelain artist, initially trained as a ceramist under H. Christian Petersen and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen from 1897.
