Royal Copenhagen. 1922. Porcelain, colored. H. 31,5 cm. Juliane-Marie mark (blue and green), inscribed Falster (black), model number 12216 (green), hax (green). Woman wearing traditional dress from the island of Falster, with a white apron, laced bodice, and colorful patterned headscarf - Danish painter and porcelain artist, initially trained as a ceramist under H. Christian Petersen and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen from 1897. He was particularly well known for his porcelain figurines of people from the Netherlands and Greenland in traditional dress, including rare figurines of Inuit children.

Vita:

Danish painter and porcelain artist, initially trained as a ceramist under H. Christian Petersen and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen from 1897.
