Probably Wertheim (Baden). 1759 or later. Silver sheet metal, gold-plated interior. H. 3,3 x 15,7 x 5,2 cm, approx. weight 185 g. Without recognizable marks, these may be rubbed. Traces of usage. Rectangular, partially rounded body with hinged lid. On the upper side, beneath a crowned eagle, a depiction of a military commander, a portrait of Frederick II, and a crowned coat of arms with the Prussian eagle; on the lower side, a depiction of the Battle of Minden, a portrait of Ferdinand of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel, and the Saxon horse. Side walls with acanthus and rocaille relief. - Identical piece in the collection of the Dresden Museum of Decorative Arts (there with inspection mark and master's mark for Wertheim (Baden))
