Bronze, darkbrown patinated. L. 23 cm. According to the artist's daughter, the small bronze sculpture is the model for a large sculpture - German sculptor, studied art history, architecture and metal sculpture and was a student of Gerhard Marcks. Since 1958 Max Schegulla lived and worked as a sculptor in the Hanstedt district of Dierkshausen in the Nordheide. His diverse oeuvre includes numerous works in public spaces in Hamburg, Kiel, Bochum and Dortmund, winged altars, leaded glass windows and color prints.
