After a training as stonemason, Pfab studied at the HfBK since 1946 in the class of Edwin Scharff. First he executed his works in bronze, as from 1961 in Chrome-Nickel-Molybdenum-Steel and therefore he had to learn the technology of welding. The most important for him was the monumental sculpture defined by prismatic, cubic and spheric structures. His large oeuvre contains not only numerous works for the Public Space but also small-sized sculptures as well as design objects. Mus.: Schleswig (SHLM), Hamburg (Kunsthalle).
