Early 20th century and later. 14 ct. yellow and roségold, partly patinized. Weight: in total approx. 5,6 g. Needle with hand 16 x 17 mm, l. 66 mm; needle l. 67 mm. Small ruby in cushion shaped cut. Needle with baroque shaped cultured pearl (w. approx. 12 mm), needle with small cultured pearl in hand (diameter 5 mm). The new figurative, narrative jewellery, known as Novelty Jewellery, became fashionable in the second half of the 19th century in the form of insects, animals and objects - it was considered an accessory for both ladies and gentlemen.
