Fine-figure scene of the Annunciation to Mary: the depiction shows Mary kneeling, her hands folded in prayer, and the angel Gabriel announcing the good news of the conception to her; above Mary appears the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove and a ray of light striking Mary - German sculptor, trained as a wood sculptor in his father's studio, 1969-1975 studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich under Georg Brenninger. His work comprises more than 200 large sculptures and groups of figures, including numerous commissions for art in architecture, public spaces and church and altar interiors. Neustifter has received numerous important awards, including the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Bavarian Order of Merit "Pour le Mérite". He lives and works in Eggenfelden.

Vita:
German sculptor, trained as a wood sculptor in his father's studio, 1969-1975 studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich under Georg Brenninger.
