Oil/canvas. 51 x 61 cm. Lo. ri. sign. Dollerschell. - German landscape painter and sculptor. After training as a lithographer, D. studied at the Elberfeld School of Arts and Crafts, then at the Munich Academy under Franz von Stuck, among others. He repeatedly spent long periods in Paris, where he became friends with Wilhelm Lehmbruck. His studio in Wuppertal developed into a center of cultural life after the First World War.
