Oil/wood. 74 x 96 cm. Lo. le. sign. Jámbor, on the reverse two collector's stamps and fragment of a Hungarian label. - Hungarian painter, film decorator and costume designer. J. studied at the academies in Budapest, Düsseldorf, Munich and Florence before emigrating to the USA in 1925. There he initially worked in New York, and from 1928 he worked as a stage painter and costume designer in Hollywood.

Vita:
