2002. Bronze. H. 30 x 24 x 26 cm. Verso monogrammed MJ, numbered 3/6. The figure sitting on a cart has an archaic formal language, the rough and uneven surface of the bronze, which at first glance appears unfinished, was deliberately chosen by the artist and is an expression of 'traces of life' - Provenance: Acquired in 2022 from Galerie Herold, Hamburg/Kampen; since then in private ownership, Schleswig-Holstein - German sculptor and son of Jo Jastram, studied sculpture at the Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee, since 1984 freelance sculptor in Berlin, since 2020 the artist lives and works in Niebüll in Schleswig-Holstein. Since 1986 numerous solo and group exhibitions. At home and abroad as well as works in museum or public ownership, in 2010, the German Bundestag acquired Jastram's bronze sculpture 'Europe and the Bull'

German sculptor and son of Jo Jastram, studied sculpture at the Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee, since 1984 freelance sculptor in Berlin, since 2020 the artist lives and works in Niebüll in Schleswig-Holstein. Since 1986 numerous solo and group exhibitions.
