1966. Pencil drawing. 22 x 17 cm. Unframed. U. r. sign. and dat. Avramidis 66, verso sign. and dat. Avramidis 1966. - Provenance: Coll. Gisela Bührmann - Greek-Austrian sculptor, painter and draughtsman. Studied at the State Art School in Batumi (1937-1939) and the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna (1945-1949). Pupil of Robin Christian Andersen, Robert Eigenberger and Fritz Wotruba. Participated in the 1962 Biennale and Documenta III in 1964. In the same year, A. was awarded the City of Vienna Prize. Professor of sculpture since 1968. 1973 Grand Austrian State Prize. A.'s works are characterised by a constructively bound formal language. Later works are based on cubist and closed forms.
