KPM Berlin. 2006. Porcelain, partially gilt and coloured painted. H. 36 cm. One vase with sceptre mark and sign. and dat. Uwe Lütgen 06, the second vase with sceptre mark and orb over KPM (green). 'French' vases with griffin-head handles and partial gilding, after a design by K.F. Schinkel. The walls painted on both sides in gold-framed panels with ship motifs in front of Hamburg, Cuxhaven and Geestemünde - Hamburg marine painter. L. initially worked as a sailor, before being trained as stage designer and restorer. His oeuvre is dominated by marine subjects. His yachting sports motif capture by their unusual points of view that give life and motion to the subjects.
