Große Berliner Kunstausst. 1914, plate p. 131 (large sculpture in marble) - German sculptor, his grandfather Emil Cauer (1800-1867) of the same name was the progenitor of the Cauer sculptor dynasty, initially trained in his father's studio and then studied under Otto Lessing in Berlin, working there in his own studio since 1898
