Around 1925. Watercolour over pencil. 32,5 x 47 cm. Matted and framed under glass, uninspected out of frame. Low left signed F. Schaefler. - German expressionist painter and graphic artist. S. studied at the Munich academy. After the republican 'Räterepublik' failed in Munich, he resiled to Lake Chiemsee in 1920. In 1921 he painted a series of paintings in Hamburg, 1927 he settled in Cologne. Lit.: Vollmer, Dressler a. others.
