1907. Bronze, dark patinated. Figure: H. 66 cm, marble plinth: H. 6 cm. Signed and dated HERM. J. PAGELS. Gracefully designed Art Nouveau nude figure with long hair, standing on a round plinth. - Pagels created the figure in large format in 1907 in Carrara marble, which he showed at the Great Berlin Art Exhibition in 1909. - Literature: Große Berliner Kunstausst. Catalogue. Berlin 1909, no. 96 (marble version) - German sculptor, trained from 1894 to 1900 at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Berlin, where he was a pupil of Peter Breuer and Ernst Herter, among others.
