Rosenthal. Designed 1988. Wood, black laquered. H. 103 cm, B. 77 cm, T. 60/96 cm. Inscribed on the side: Rosenthal Einrichtung. Hinged writing desk on base plate of cast stone, handle strip and drawers in fruitwood, inside storage compartments and 2 drawers, writing top in black cowhide nappa leather, 2 doors with leather storage compartments on the sides. - Provenance: Essen Collection, Hamburg - German industrial designer, studied industrial design at the University of Fine Arts in Braunschweig after an apprenticeship as a carpenter, founded his own office for product planning and design in 1968, guest lectureships in Ahmedabad and Offenbach, his clients included the companies Knoll, Mercedes-Benz, Interlübke and Rosenthal.
