B. studied 1952-55 at the Hamburg Academy of Fine Arts with K. Kranz and W. Grimm. She worked for a long time as an art teacher, but also exhibited repeatedly. For several years she was married to the painter Gerhard Ausborn. At the beginning of her work, landscapes dominated her oeuvre, which she later expanded to include architectural motifs in the manner of pittura metafisica.
