H. studied photography at the Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences 1983-88. He received numerous scholarships with the help of which he was able to travel to Azerbaijan, Armenia, Romania, India and Italy. He exhibited his photographs not only in Germany, but also in the Bibliothèque National in Paris and in Madrid. The artist lives in the foothills of the Harz Mountains and works all over the world.
