B. studied 1971 - 1975 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Dresden with G. Horlbeck and G. Kettner. 1977-90 he was a member of the Association of Visual Artists of the GDR. 1978 he received the prize 'Young Artist of the GDR', 1980 and 1983 the Förderpreis of the State Art Trade 1986 the Art Prize of the FDGB, 1990 a working scholarship from the Hans Hoch Foundation, 1991 a scholarship from the Cultural Foundation NRW. B. has had numerous solo exhibitions at home and abroad. The artist lives and works in Lübeck. Mus.: Berlin (Kupferstichkabinett), Veste Coburg (Kunstsammlungen), Dresden (Kupferstichkabinett), Leipzig (Museum der Bildenden Künste) a. others.
