Retouchings. - Provenance: Christie's London, 25.10.1985, lot 1; Christie's Amsterdam, 13.11.1990, lot 201; estate Countess Finck von Finckenstein-Brinkama - Dutch landscape painter in the tradition of the 17th century. After initial lessons with his father, D. trained in The Hague with J. Xavery. In 1771 he moved to Rotterdam, where his studio developed into an artistic meeting place.
