Zangs 63, framed under glass, uninspected out of frame. - Expertise: Certificate by Helgard Müller Jensen, Galerie Rottloff, Karlsruhe 11.07.2018. - Provenance: Bought at the Galerie Rottloff by Helmut Purrmann, by descent to his widow Irmgard Purmann; private collection Rhineland. - German painter, collage a. object artist. Z. studied 1945-50 at the Düsseldorf academy under O. Pankok. He painted abstract a. figurative paintings, since the 1950s he became famous with his 'Verweißungen' a. the works painted with a windscreen wiper. In 1977 he exhibited at the Documenta 6. Mus.: Amsterdam (Stedelijk Mus.), Oostende, Budapest, Hamburg (Kunsthalle), Karlsruhe a. others. Lit.: S. Cremer-Bermbach: Werkmonographie, 1996 a. others.
