Oil/canvas/cardboard, 80 x 60 cm, lo. ri. cyrillic monogramm APCH, min. dam. - Provenance: The consignor's Russian mother, who now resides in Berlin, received invitations to Pachomov exhibitions in the early 1950s and may have acquired the painting there. - Soviet painter. P. began his education at the drawing school of Baron Stieglitz in St. Petersburg, then studied at the academy there as a student of Shukhaev and Lebedev. In 1948 he became a teacher at the Repin Institute in what was then Leningrad. P. participated in numerous exhibitions and died highly honored in Leningrad. Mus.: St. Petersburg (Russ.
